MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO (March, 2011) – The Square One Older Adult Centre in joint project with the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario and Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport, are proud to present the 2011 Seniors Health Promotion and Active Living Fair. This free two day community event will take place on March 24th and 25th at the Square One Older Adult Centre. There will be free refreshments and entertainment.
The featured topics and speakers for this year include:
- How Oral Health is Related to Total Health, presented by Access Dental Care on Thursday
- Eating Well for Healthy Brain and Active Lifestyles, presented by Recreational Respite Inc. on Thursday
- Exercise Your Sense of balance to prevent Falls, presented by Comfort Living magazine on Friday
- Credits and Benefits for Seniors, presented by Ontario Ministry of Revenue on Friday
Exciting activities that are scheduled include:
- Health clinic on Thursday by Bayshore Home Health
- Fitness clinic on Friday by The Village of Humber Heights
Each day there are 38 exhibitors, a wide range of non profit and for profit senior service organizations. Participants who complete a survey will have a chance to win a door prize. Every attendee will also receive a bag with a variety of senior services literature and promotional items. Admission and parking are FREE.
